1. Sponsor and controlling documents
The sponsor and administrator is the Sweep operator identified in the applicable Promotion Details (the “Sponsor”). These master Official Rules apply to each Sweep product promotion (a “Promotion”).
Each Promotion page must provide its specific prize, approximate retail value, delivery type, start and end times, geographic eligibility, minimum age, entry limit, free entry instructions, and any additional terms (the “Promotion Details”). If there is a conflict, the Promotion Details control for that Promotion, followed by these Official Rules, then the Terms of Service.
2. Eligibility
A Promotion is open only to natural persons who, at the time of entry:
- are legal residents physically located in a jurisdiction expressly listed as eligible in the Promotion Details;
- are at least the stated minimum age and the age of legal majority in their place of residence;
- can lawfully participate and receive the prize; and
- have a valid Sweep account and wallet when needed to record or verify an entry.
Employees, officers, directors, contractors, and agents of Sponsor and entities materially involved in a Promotion, and members of their immediate families or households, are not eligible unless the Promotion Details state otherwise. Sponsor may require proof of identity, age, residence, and eligibility.
3. Promotion period
A Promotion begins and ends at the dates and times in its Promotion Details. Sponsor’s designated systems and the applicable blockchain records are the official timekeeping sources, subject to the treatment of alternate-method entries stated in the Promotion Details.
The current paid-entry flow stops accepting paid entries when the paid target fills or the stated end time arrives, whichever occurs first. Timely free entries receive a fair and operationally equivalent opportunity to be included before a winner is selected.
4. How to enter
Paid entry
An eligible entrant may authorize the applicable smart contract to use SWEEP tickets (platform credit) during the Promotion period. Each whole SWEEP ticket accepted by the contract currently records one entry. The transaction must confirm before the paid-entry target or deadline is reached.
Free alternate method of entry
No purchase or payment is required. Before a Promotion opens, its Promotion Details must state a free alternate method of entry, the information required, how and where to submit it, applicable deadlines, and how accepted entries will be recorded. The method must remain available while paid entry is available and may not impose a material burden that is not legally supportable.
A valid free entry must receive the same chance of selection as a paid entry. Sponsor will not require an app installation, advertisement interaction, social post, marketing consent, or other action as an entry condition unless it is permitted by applicable law and platform rules.
5. Entry limits and validity
The same per-person entry limit must apply across all entry methods. Multiple accounts, wallets, email addresses, identities, or households may not be used to evade a limit. Automated, bulk, scripted, forged, incomplete, late, misdirected, or otherwise noncompliant entries are void, subject to applicable law.
Paid blockchain transactions that revert or fail do not create an entry. Entry balances are non-transferable. If ownership of an account or wallet is disputed, Sponsor may identify the entrant using the account, wallet, payment, and verification records reasonably available to it.
6. Odds
The odds of winning equal the number of an entrant’s eligible entries divided by the total number of eligible entries included in the draw. Each entry has equal weight, whether obtained through payment or a free alternate method. Actual odds cannot be known until entry closes and all timely entries are validated.
Any live percentage or “chance per entry” shown before entry closes is an estimate based on information then available and may change.
7. Winner selection
One potential winner is selected at random from all eligible entries. Sweep’s current paid flow uses Chainlink VRF to provide a random value, which the smart contract maps to an entry recorded for the Promotion. The Promotion Details must explain any additional process used to include valid free entries before selection.
A displayed on-chain result identifies a potential winner, subject to eligibility and compliance verification. If a draw is delayed because of network or oracle conditions, Sponsor may wait for completion, retry through a disclosed lawful process, or cancel the Promotion as permitted by these Rules and applicable law.
8. Notification and verification
Sponsor may notify a potential winner through the Service, the email associated with the account, and any other method stated in the Promotion Details. A potential winner may need to sign and return an eligibility declaration, liability or publicity release where lawful, tax form, or other reasonably required document within the stated time.
A potential winner who is ineligible, cannot be contacted, fails to respond or provide required information on time, or violates these Rules may be disqualified. The process for selecting an alternate winner, or determining that a prize remains unawarded, is stated in the applicable Promotion Details and follows applicable law.
An entirely unclaimed prize may be marked forfeited beginning 30 days after draw resolution, subject to applicable law and any different deadline or alternate-winner process in the Promotion Details.
9. Prize and winner options
The prize, quantity, condition, delivery type, and approximate retail value are stated in the Promotion Details. No transfer or substitution is permitted except as these Rules, the Promotion Details, or applicable law allow. A physical winner must provide a complete deliverable address; a digital winner must provide or maintain a valid delivery channel.
The Service currently allows a verified winner to choose either:
- delivery of the listed physical or digital prize; or
- an irrevocable sell-back for SWEEP equal to 95% of the product’s recorded landed cost (product cost, shipping, and tax).
The sell-back is platform credit, not a cash prize, and may differ from the approximate retail value and total paid entries. A winner’s choice is final when the blockchain transaction confirms.
10. Taxes
A winner is responsible for taxes and expenses not expressly included in the Promotion Details. Sponsor may require a tax identification number or tax form and may report a prize as required by law. The valuation used for reporting may differ from a retailer’s changing price or the winner’s sell-back amount.
11. Expiry, cancellation, and refunds
If a Promotion reaches its end time without meeting the paid-entry target, it may expire without a draw. Sponsor may also cancel an open or drawing Promotion where the draw cannot be completed, fraud or technical failure compromises integrity, the prize or Promotion cannot lawfully be offered, or another event makes fair administration impracticable.
For an expired or cancelled Promotion, each paid entry is returned as one SWEEP to the wallet that entered. Refunds may be processed through multiple on-chain transactions and therefore may take time. Free entries have no purchase amount to refund. After a valid draw resolves, an entrant is not entitled to a refund merely for not winning.
12. Fair play and disqualification
Sponsor may disqualify an entrant or entry that it reasonably determines violates these Rules, tampers with a Promotion, uses automation or multiple identities, interferes with another entrant, provides false information, abuses a payment method, or acts in an unsportsmanlike or unlawful manner. Sponsor’s decisions are subject to applicable law and must be documented and applied consistently.
13. General conditions
Sponsor may take reasonable steps to preserve the integrity of a Promotion when fraud, technical failure, unauthorized intervention, force majeure, or another event affects administration. Any change, suspension, cancellation, or alternative drawing must comply with law and may require regulatory approval or notice.
Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. If a provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent allowed by law. Sponsor’s material decisions will be based on these Rules and the Promotion’s records.
14. Publicity and privacy
Sponsor processes information as described in the Privacy Policy. Where permitted by law, a winner may be asked to allow use of their name, likeness, statements, and general location for Promotion publicity without additional compensation. Any such use is subject to required consent and local restrictions.
Wallet addresses and draw results recorded on a public blockchain are publicly visible and may be permanent. Shipping addresses, digital prize codes, and full payment-card information are not intentionally published on-chain.
15. Release and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, entrants release Sponsor and entities involved in administering the Promotion from claims arising from participation or acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of a prize, except for liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Sponsor is not responsible for entries or notices lost or delayed by events outside its reasonable control.
16. Disputes
These Rules are governed by the law applicable to the Sponsor and the Promotion, without depriving an entrant of mandatory protections available where they live. Before filing a formal claim, the entrant and Sponsor agree to make a reasonable good-faith effort to resolve the issue through the support channel published in the Service. Any unresolved dispute may be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction.
17. Winner information
Where required by law, winner information or a copy of these Rules will be available through the method and for the period stated in the Promotion Details. Requests may be submitted through the support channel published in the Service.
